Niemand konnte voraussehen, welchen Einfluss das eines Tages haben würde, und dass es nach 17 Jahren weltweit mehr als 2,5 Milliarden aktive Nutzer pro Monat hat.\u003C/p>\n  \u003Cp>Was eigentlich als Scherz begann, revolutionierte die Art und Weise, wie wir mit anderen Menschen und Unternehmen kommunizieren und interagieren und gleichgesinnte Online-Gruppen bilden. Es verbesserte die Kundenbetreuung und half uns, mit unseren Lieben in Kontakt zu bleiben, und erleichterte sogar die Verbindung mit längst verlorenen Verwandten und Freunden.\u003C/p>\n  \u003Cp>Niemand hätte erwartet, dass man Facebook siebzehn Jahre später sofort mit Wahlbetrug, Hassreden und einer rasanten Verbreitung von Fake News in Verbindung bringen würde.\u003C/p>\n  \u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>Wann hat Facebook den falschen Weg eingeschlagen?\u003C/strong>\u003C/p>\n  \u003Cp>Am Anfang dachte ich als Marketing-Mensch, dass Facebook das Beste ist, was dem Marketing je passieren konnte; ich war beeindruckt, wie viel wir mit so wenig Budget tun und wie viele Menschen wir überhaupt erreichen konnten.\u003C/p>\n  \u003Cp>Als die Jahre vergingen und ich sah, wie sich Facebook als Unternehmen weiterentwickelte und die Privatsphäre der User zu missbrauchen begann, änderte sich meine Meinung. Ich glaube immer noch, dass Facebook ein effektiver Weg ist, um aktuelle und potenzielle User zu erreichen, aber die Datenschutzbedenken stehen im Vordergrund und meine Aufmerksamkeit hat sich auf andere soziale Kanäle verlagert.\u003C/p>\n  \u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>Mit großer Macht kommt große Verantwortung\u003C/strong>\u003C/p>\n  \u003Cp>Als das Fiasko von Cambridge Analytica aufgedeckt wurde, gab der Geschäftsführer von Facebook bekannt, dass sie wussten, dass die Daten unrechtmäßig erworben wurden und es sich um einen „Vertrauensbruch handelt, der behoben werden muss.” (\u003Ca href=\"https://www.facebook.com/zuck/posts/10104712037900071\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Zuckerberg, 2018\u003C/a>)\u003C/p>\n  \u003Cp>Privatsphäre sollte ein Grundrecht für jeden sein und wir sollten alle verlangen, dass die Unternehmen, mit denen wir unsere Daten teilen, dieses Recht unterstützen.\u003C/p>\n  \u003Cp>„Das Problem mit Facebook ist nicht nur der Verlust der Privatsphäre und die Tatsache, dass es als totalitäres Panoptikum genutzt werden kann (…), sondern die Nutzung des digitalen Informationskonsums als psychologischer Kontrollvektor.”(\u003Ca href=\"https://twitter.com/fchollet/status/976563870322999296\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chollet, 2018\u003C/a>)\u003C/p>\n  \u003Cp>Wie viele Dinge auf Facebook ist auch die Wahrheit über die Privatsphäre im Kleingedruckten der Datenschutzrichtlinien versteckt. Es begann mit dem Aufkommen von Facebook Ads, die sehr gezielt auf Nutzerprofile, Timeline-History und soziale Gruppierungen ausgerichtet sind, gepaart mit den Pay-to-Play-Anzeigen. Und es setzte sich fort, als sie begannen, mehr konkurrierende Marken aufzukaufen und sich selbst in ein Monopol in der Social-Media-Branche verwandelten.\u003C/p>\n  \u003Cp>Ich glaube immer noch, dass Social Media die Macht hat, viel Gutes zu tun; Facebook spielt – wie auch viele andere Social-Media-Kanäle – mit seinen aktiven Usern eine entscheidende Rolle beim Aufbau einer Gemeinschaft. Sie müssen mehr Wert auf Privatsphäre und Ehrlichkeit legen.\u003C/p>\n  \u003Cp>Als User können wir eine Menge tun, um unsere Daten zu schützen und uns selbst darüber zu informieren, welche Informationen wir zu teilen bereit sind.
